Eva Matson was born in 1900 in rural Dorset, England—a Victorian world of gas lamps, outdated plumbing, and an era where women’s voices often went unheard unless accompanied by bold actions.
Eva’s life unfolds against the backdrop of two world wars, societal upheavals, and radical shifts in gender roles. She was an unconventional woman who drove an ambulance at 15 and forged a life marked by questions, risks, and unexpected answers. London became her proving ground, a city of love, heartbreak, and defining choices—some she might regret, others she would treasure forever.

Once described in the writing world as a ‘third space inhabitant’, S.B. Borgersen, originally from England, writes, makes art, and loves gardening on the glorious shores of Nova Scotia, Canada. Sue’s favoured genres are poetry, flash, and micro fiction. In addition to solo works, she is published internationally in anthologies, arts, and literary magazines.
